Ryan Holewinski is a senior at Desert Christian High School looking forward to attending Grand Canyon University in the fall. He will be studying microbiology with a pre-med emphasis with a goal of becoming a cardiologist or heart surgeon. Ryan has held a 3.5 GPA while competing in the marching band, running track, and playing soccer. Growing up in a law enforcement family has motivated Ryan into a career where he is able to help people. Ryan hopes to intern at a hospital or doctor office while attending GCU to further his knowledge and experience in the medical field. Congratulations Ryan!
Malani Gonzales just finished her freshman year at the University of Arizona. She hopes to participate in clubs on campus next year, as she couldn't this year due to the pandemic. Looking ahead to law school, she will likely apply to the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona as she is currently exploring the many options available in the field of law. Outside of school, she adores the arts and spends much of her time painting, reading classics, writing and learning about fashion. She also has a large interest in the topics of psychology and history. Congratulations Malani!
Melissa Kim is currently attending Arizona State University majoring in History and English with certificates in Asian Studies and Applied Business Data Analytics. She is taking advantage of the opportunity to explore multiple disciplines while working toward her next step of attending law school. Her ultimate goal is to become an Intellectual Property Attorney with a Juris Doctorate in Law, Science, and Technology. Congratulations Melissa!
Engrid Pittenridge is on the Dean’s List having just completed her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education at Grand Canyon University. After completing her Associate Degree in Criminal Justice, Engrid worked as a corrections officer for four years. It was during this time she realized she wanted to pursue education as a career to teach and be a positive role model for youth. Engrid is very involved in her community and volunteers her time teaching Bible School and working on other projects at her church. Congratulations Engrid!
Ranger Stevenson Attended Pima Community College while enrolled in AP and Honors classes at Tanque Verde High School and graduated this year with a 4.0 GPA. Ranger has accumulated over 100 hours of community service in various areas with the majority at Christ Community Church as a 4th grade helper. One of his primary goals in life is to simply help people and he hopes to accomplish this by becoming an optical engineer. He will begin this course of study at the University of Arizona in the fall. Congratulations Ranger!
